Manlio Bassino leads the Intellectual Property and Healthcare and Life Sciences practices. He has been actively involved in administrative and judicial proceedings for the defense of industrial property and copyright elements, providing advice on trademark planning and creation (legal naming). In addition, he provides regulatory advice to companies in the pharmaceutical, medical devices, and food and beverage industries, as well as in corporate law matters, with a special focus on mergers and acquisitions and corporate maintenance.
Manlio is recognized in prestigious legal directories such as Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, Leaders League and WTR, standing out in the field of intellectual property. He has been chair of the Intellectual Property Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (AmCham), and is a member of the Interamerican Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI) and the International Trademarks Association (INTA), as well as of the Peruvian Association of Industrial Property and Copyrights (APPI).
In the academic field, Manlio has contributed as a professor of business law at the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas for 10 years and as a professor of legal aspects of internet and e-commerce at the School of Engineering of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
