  • Biography

    Associate at Estudio Echecopar. Lawyer with specialization on real estate, civil law, registry law, urban law and contract law.

    She graduated with honors (summa cum laude) as a Lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP).

    Practice focus

    She has advised on real estate transactions regarding the analysis of registry and urban contingencies, including also the diagnosis and legal cleaning of properties. In addition, Daniela has worked independently and led diligence teams and transactions in the tourism and retail industries.

    She is also experienced in mergers and acquisitions, and has been involved in the acquisition and sale of and sale of companies, assets and shareholdings, including mergers, spin-offs reorganizations and other corporate structures; in which she has had an important participation analyzing the properties, commercial contracts, and others of the companies.

    As a member of the real estate practice group, she has advised and accompanied national and foreign clients in obtaining various licenses and permits before public entities; as well as in sanctioning procedures and in complaints against illegal bureaucratic barriers.

    Also, her professional practice includes consulting and issuing legal opinions related to matters of property and contractual law, as well as advising investors in the acquisition, transfer and affectation of real estate, in the obtaining of licenses and permits, in zoning of properties, in urban habilitations and in registry matters.

  • Experience

    • During 2023, Daniela has advised the concessionaire of the Lima and Callao Metro Line 2 and Line 4 Branch Project, in matters regarding urban and registry issues. This is one of the most important rail projects in Latin America and the first metro system in Peru. It involves the construction of a 35-kilometer fully automated metro line that will connect 10 districts of Lima, bringing together destinations of more than 660 thousand passengers per day, benefiting 2.5 million people.
    • During 2022, Daniela participated in closing 12 deals regarding properties located in the main districts of Lima, valued at PEN 213 MM approx. 11 of those 12 ended up in Joint Ventures executed with several real estate developers. The other one was consisted of an acquisition by FIBRA LVC III for the development of premium offices (project to be developed by FIBRA LVC III itself).
    • Advisory to Real Plaza in issuing a legal report containing a complex analysis of the novel figure of the "Participation in the Increase in the Value of the Land", incorporated to our legal system with the new Sustainable Urban Development Law, enacted in the year 2021.
    • Advisory to Corporación Aceros Arequipa S.A. in a complaint before the Instituto Nacional de Defensa de la Competencia y de la Protección de la Propiedad Intelectual against the Municipality of Chilca, for requiring the processing of a building permit to build a perimeter fence in a rustic property, which constitutes an illegal bureaucratic barrier.
