Alonso Miranda is a Partner with more than 15 years of experience in advising investment banks, corporate issuers and the Republic of Peru in both local and international capital markets transactions. He is ranked by Chambers & Partners in Band 1 for Capital Markets and Band 5 for Banking and Finance. He was named for Best Lawyers as "Lawyer of Year 2020 – Capital Markets Law" in the publication's 2020 Peru list.
Over the last years, he has represented clients in public and private securities offerings, both locally and internationally, for more than USD 20,000 million, including securities offerings pursuant to Rule 144-A and Regulation S of the U.S. Securities Act for more than USD 15,000 million. He has also advised the Republic of Peru on its most recent international debt and liability management transactions for more than USD 6,000 million.
Alonso is co-founder of ADV Editores, a not-for-profit entity in charge of the publication of the Advocatus Law Review. He has written a number of articles related to the Peruvian securities regulation published in the Official Gazette "El Peruano", journals, legal reviews and books. Alonso has been the Chair of the Legal Committee of Procapitales from 2013 through 2018 and is currently member of the Board of Procapitales.

His experience includes complex financing transactions, public and private securities' offerings in both domestic and international markets, asset–backed transactions, and public tender offers.
