Alexandra is an associate specialized in environmental and climate change matters, with 5 years of experience in the advisory of public and private entities, in environmental and climate change regulation and policies.
She has been recognized by Legal 500 as an ‘associate to watch’ and recently nominated by the Euromoney Legal Media Group as an Individual Rising Star in Environment (2019).
Alexandra is involved in diverse types of work, from answering day-to-day queries related to environmental certification and compliance and water management, to preparing draft regulations for the Peruvian Government.
Alexandra is not only part of the Natural Resources, and Environment and Climate Change practice areas, but also part of the Firm's transactional group, where she plays a fundamental role in environmental risk management and assessment for implementing projects related to the exploitation and use of natural resources and ecosystem services.
Furthermore, Alexandra works closely with the Public Law practice area, in connection with the preparation of draft regulations and in the legal defense of our clients in governmental procedures.
The clients of this practice area include the Peruvian Government, companies and investors from different industries, especially mining, agriculture, energy, forestry and transport and investment funds interested in carbon markets and emissions trading.
Experiences to highlight include our advisory to the Ministry of the Environment in the legal analysis of innovative alternatives to fund environmental conservation activities and projects, and the advisory to Pollination in the potential funding of a REDD+ Project in the Peruvian Amazon.
