We developed a very active practice since the beginning of the privatization and liberalization of the market in Peru. The process began between 1993 and 1994 with a client’s participation in privatization of the Peruvian telecommunication companies. Since then, the Firm has participated in many important operations of this area.
Among our partners we have two lawyers that are Readers of the telecommunications privatization.
Our specialists on Telecommunication matters directly collaborated with the regulatory Framework design which facilitated the privatization of the telecommunication market, as well as those regulations and guidelines that promoted a definitive liberalization of the telecommunication market in Peru to the private and foreign investment and the creation of the Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (OSIPTEL), which is the regulatory agency of the sector.
